i) Physical Standard Test :-

After the call letter and identity are found correct, candidates will be asked to appear in PST. PST will not carry any marks. Measurement of height, weight and chest (chest for males only) of the candidates will be taken. Once a candidate clears the PST and preliminary medical test, he/she will have to appear in the Physical Efficiency Test (PET).

ii) Physical Efficiency Test:- 40 marks

Physical Efficiency Test will be of 40 marks. There will be 2 (two) events.

a) 1600 meters run for male candidates and 800 meters for women
Candidate.
b) Long Jump – 335 cm (minimum) for male and 244 cm (minimum) for female, 3 chances (longest valid jump will be considered).

iii) Written exam : 50 marks

  • The written test will consist of 100 multiple choice type questions to be answered on OMR answer sheets.
  • For every correct answer the candidate will get half mark.
  • The total marks for the written test will be 50.
  • There will be no negative marking.
  • The duration of the test will be of 2 (two) hours.
  • The questions will cover the following topics:

I. Elementary Arithmetic
Second. general English
III. Logical Reasoning/Mental Ability
Fourth. History, Geography, Politics, Economy of Assam
V. General Awareness/General Knowledge and Current Affairs

V) Extra-curricular activities and special skills , 10 points

Extra-curricular activities and special skills will be maximized 10 points.

  • The written test will be of 100 marks and will be completely OMR based
  • There will be 100 questions and each question will be of 1 (one) mark.
  • There will be negative marking of mark for each wrong answer
  • The duration of the test will be of 3 (three) hours.
  • The questions will cover the following topics:

(i) Logical Reasoning, Aptitude, Comprehension
(ii) Matters relating to the history and culture of Assam and India
(iii) General Knowledge.

Candidates only 5 times the number of posts in respect of each category (UR, OBC/ MOBC, ST (P), ST (H) and EWS) will be called for PST (Physical Standard Test) and PET (Physical Standard Test) Will go Physical Efficiency Test) on the basis of merit.
