The Supreme Court on Thursday, November 18 will hear a plea seeking a direction to conduct CBSE, CISCE Term 1 exam 2021 in hybrid-offline and online or mixed mode.

Six students of the Central Board of Secondary Education and the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations have filed a petition against the decision of both the boards to conduct the Term 1 examination in offline mode only. These six students have alleged that the board’s entire exercise in conducting the examination of semester one or semester one only in offline mode is “highly unfair.

The petition, filed by advocate Sumant Nukala, further stated that the offline examination would put the students at risk of COVID19 infection.

CBSE Term 1 board exams have started from November 16 for class 12 and from November 17 for class 10. CISCE’s first semester examinations are scheduled to begin from November 22 for class 12 and November 29 for class 10. ,

While CBSE will use OMR for evaluation of both Class 10, 12 in Class 1 exam, CISCE will issue a computer-generated marksheet indicating the marks obtained by candidates in each subject/paper taken by them for Semester 1 only . examination.
