CBSE students got 26 KM away exam center, board officials gave permission to change
The minor papers for CBSE class 10th and 12th students started from November 16, while the major papers are scheduled to start from November 30 this year. Concerned about the time taken by the students to travel to and from the examination centre, the parents contacted the regional office of CBSE in Pune, where the authorities have now assured them of a change in the examination centre.
The mother of one of the students said, “As it is not tough enough to prepare for the exam, our children were expected to travel 50 kms every day (commuting) for the exam. I was thinking of booking a hotel room near the exam center for my daughter and myself.”
Starting this academic year, CBSE decided to conduct the board exams in two rounds- the first round of which is currently underway. Answer of 90 minutes objective type question papers will be given on OMR sheet.
