CUCET 2022: Central University Common Entrance Test to be held in DU EC meeting

CUCET 2022: In the meeting of the Executive Council (EC) of Delhi University, the admission through the Common Entrance Test of the entrance examination in the university was approved with slight opposition. Along with this, many other proposals and plans for construction work including the courses started by the School of Open Learning were approved. It is to be known that DU is going to make major changes in its admission process from this year. Central Universities will now admit students at the undergraduate level only through the Central University Common Entrance Test proposed by the UGC. This proposal has been stamped in DU and soon the National Testing Agency will declare the first application and later the exam date for this exam.

In the executive council meeting, teacher representative Seema Das opposed the plan to start hostel facility in the university by taking money from HEFA. Seema Das said that this is a step towards privatization of education. The burden of this will fall on the students one day or the other. On the issue of CUET and HEFA, some EC members also expressed their dissent.

Raised the issue of adjustment of teachers
The issue of adjustment of ad-hoc teachers also came up in the meeting of the Executive Council. The teachers representatives emphasized that there was talk of forming a committee for this in the past. What happened to that committee? Here the demand for adjustment of ad-hoc teachers was made time and again.
