DFCCIL Recruitment 2021: Selection Process

Candidates can understand the selection process from the table given below. Not all the steps are mandatory for every post. Here the details for the post and the stages accordingly are given below. The selection process consists of 5 stages ie:

  1. computer based test
  2. Computer Based Aptitude Test
  3. document verification
  4. Interview
  5. medical test

Computer Based Test:

  • Computer Based Examination is the preliminary stage of the examination which is online. It will be conducted in two/three sessions on single/multiple day(s) of 2 hours duration.
  • The CBT will be an objective multiple choice type consisting of 120 questions.
  • The question paper will be set in English and Hindi only.
  • There will be negative marking in the Computer Based Test and marks will be deducted for each wrong answer (0.25) marks.
  • The Computer Based Examination, if required, may be of two stages at the discretion of DFCCIL.
  • The qualifying marks in the written test/CBT are as follows:

Computer Based Aptitude Test

  • Candidates need to secure a minimum T-score of 42 marks in each test battery to qualify. It is applicable to all candidates belonging to community or category i.e. SC/ ST/ OBC-NCL/ EWS/ PWBD/ Ex-SM irrespective of and no relaxation in minimum T-score is allowed.
  • To be considered for the post of Executive (Operations & BD) candidates have to qualify in each of the test batteries of CBAT.
  • CBAT will have question and answer options in English and Hindi only.
  • There will be no negative marking in CBAT.
  • Candidates are advised to visit RDSO website (www.rdso.indianrailways.gov.in ->Directorates->psycho Technical) for question pattern and other details of CBAT.

Document Verification:

  • Shortlisted candidates will be called for verification of original documents as per eligibility, availability of vacancies and reservation rules.
  • During document verification, candidates have to produce their original certificates along with a set of photocopies duly attested. No additional time will be given and the candidature of the candidates will be forfeited for not producing their original certificates/testimonials on the date of verification.

Interview:

  • For the posts of Junior Manager, the candidate will be called for interview up to 3 times the number of vacancies on the basis of merit on the basis of performance in the Computer Based Test and Reservation Rules.
  • Final merit list will be prepared by giving 85% weightage to CBT marks and 15% weightage to interview marks.

medical test:

  • Medical Standards prescribed in the Indian Railway Medical Manual Volume-I, which can be accessed at www.indianrailways.gov.in.
  • Candidates must ensure that they fulfill the prescribed medical standards for the post they are opting for. No alternate appointment will be given to the candidates found medically unfit for the chosen post(s).
