The election dates were announced by CEC Sushil Chandra at a press conference here.
Polling will be held in two phases in Punjab, Uttarakhand and Goa on February 14 and in Manipur on February 27 and March 6.
In the 2017 assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) won 312 seats out of 403. Samajwadi Party and Congress contested 298 seats and later on remaining 105 seats. SP could win only 47 seats and Congress got seven seats. The Bahujan Samajwadi Party (BSP) had won 19 seats.
