The government has decided to set up Indian Heritage Institute in Noida, Gautam Buddha Nagar. This will impact higher education and research in the fields of rich Indian heritage and its conservation, leading to Masters in History of Art, Conservation, Museology, Archival Studies, Archaeology, Preventive Conservation, Epigraphy and Numismatics, Manuscript Science as well as Conservation and The PhD courses will further facilitate the training of the serving staff and students of the Institute.
The institution being established is being treated as an integrated university. Institute of Archeology (Pt Deendayal Upadhyay Institute of Archaeology), School of Archival Studies under National Archives of India, New Delhi, National Research Laboratory for Conservation of Cultural Property (NRLC), Lucknow, National Museum Institute for History of Art, Conservation and Museology (NMICHM) and Indira Gandhi National Center for Academics For Wing Arts (IGNCA), New Delhi.
