UPHESC Assistant Professor recruitment: The Allahabad High Court has directed the Higher Education Service Commission to allow the candidates selected for the post of Assistant Professor in various degree colleges of the state to work as before. The court said that there should not be any hindrance in his work. This order was given by the division bench of Justice Manoj Mishra and Justice Vikas Wednesday while hearing the appeals of Hemlata Saini and many others. By filing an appeal in the High Court, these candidates have expressed apprehension that their appointments may be affected after the result of Assistant Professor recruitment is revised. These selected candidates also say that neither they were made party nor their side was heard while revising the result. These candidates say that they have got appointment after getting selected in Assistant Professor recruitment. Thereafter the result was revised by the Higher Education Service Commission itself saying that there was mistake in checking OMR sheets of some candidates and they did not get marks for many questions. On the other hand, many candidates had filed a petition regarding the mistakes in the OMR sheet. A single bench of the High Court allowed the commission to modify the result.

The appellant candidates say that they were not made a party to the petition filed in the High Court. The Single Bench in its judgment has not said that the result declared earlier is erroneous. The appellant candidates state that their services may be terminated after the release of the revised result. Therefore, he has a right to file an appeal against the order of the Single Bench. They also say that no order can be passed without giving a chance of hearing to the selected candidates.

On some other appeals filed in the past regarding the same matter, the Allahabad High Court has summoned the response of the commission and the state government, directing them not to interfere in the work of the selected candidates. The court directed not to interfere in the work of the selected candidates and has also directed to associate these appeals with the appeals filed earlier.
