INS Visakhapatnam inducted into Indian Navy
INS Visakhapatnam, A P15B stealth guided-missile destroyer is inducted Indian Navy Feather Naval Dockyard, Mumbai. It is the first of the four ‘Visakhapatnam’ class destroyers. It has been designed by the Directorate of Naval Design, an in-house organization of the Indian Navy and constructed by Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited, Mumbai. INS Visakhapatnam Remedy 163m in length, 17m in width, with a displacement of 7,400 tonnes. It was commissioned in the presence of Defense Minister Shri Rajnath Singh.
