9. Take guidance from your subject teachers when needed as this will boost your confidence.

10. Practice meditation and yoga to overcome any kind of nervousness.

The following tips will help the students to prepare well for JEE Advanced 2021.

speed and accuracy

One of the most important aspects is rigorous practice. To improve speed and accuracy candidates are advised to practice more and more problems, and previous year/attempts questions from reputed online test series. Speed and accuracy both matter to increase your score with the competitive edge. Since JEE is now a computer based exam, it is advisable to practice papers from a reputed source like MyPAT.

Study Material and Concept Clarity

To make it to the merit list it is important that all the problems are categorized in order of difficulty from the single best study material to have correct conceptual understanding and to improve analytical skills. Candidates are also advised not to use calculator while solving problems. Being quick in calculations will help you increase your speed in JEE Advanced exam.

Cover Entire Syllabus – Since most of the topics will be covered by the candidates, it is advised to go through the complete syllabus of JEE Advanced thoroughly. It is advised to avoid selective study and cover the entire syllabus, but looking at the previous year trends, students are advised to emphasize on the following chapters/topics in three subjects.

Math: Quadratic Equations & Expressions, Complex Numbers, Probability, Vectors & amp; 3D Geometry, Matrix in Algebra; circle, parabola, hyperbola in coordinate geometry; Functions, Limits, Continuity and Differentiation, Application of Derivatives, Definite Integrals in Calculus.

Physics: Mechanics, Fluids, Heat and Thermodynamics, Waves & S und, Capacitor & amp; Electrostatics, Magnetics, Electromagnetic Induction, Optics and Modern Physics.

Chemistry: Qualitative analysis, coordination chemistry and chemical bonding in inorganic chemistry, electrochemistry, thermodynamics, chemical equilibrium in physical chemistry and compounds related to oxygen; Amines in organic chemistry.

Strategy to solve different pattern of questions:

Single Choice Multiple Choice Questions Correct: The best way to solve these questions is to go through the question-choice-question route.

Re-scanning the question after keeping the options in mind helps in strategizing the approach to solve the question. Sometimes the choices themselves guide the right strategy or the right answer.

Multiple Choice Questions Multiple Choice Correct: Each question is to be solved and mapped with all the options. It may also happen that the options have the same value written in different forms.

Statistically speaking, these are the questions that have the least percentage of correct answers. In these questions, only the correct options should be answered in case of partial marking.

Comprehension Based: Even if you know the concepts mentioned in the comprehension, you must read it thoroughly, there is a possibility of redefining the concept or providing hypothetical notions. In that case your correct approach can lead to wrong answer.

Matrix Match Type (One to One Matching): If the question is of one to one matching, your approach should be to find out the odds (if any). This will help you reach the correct mapping quickly.

Matrix Match Type (One to Many Match): This type of matrix match will be the most challenging and time consuming. The suggested approach would be to attempt this problem if you believe all 4 lines of concepts, or else put this question away for last.

Numerical Based Answer Type: Generally, these questions are objective type questions, and hence are time consuming. The right way would be to consider them as subjective and solve them only if you have command over the subject or if you have attempted all other questions of the paper. The statistical record of these questions is also short. Last year correct answers to two decimal places were also asked. Therefore, students are advised to write the correct answer to the decimal places as asked.

Reason Assertion Type: These days these type of questions are not asked at all but if there are some questions from this category, then be very careful if both the statements are true. Because, it is very difficult to decide between option A and B or else you can easily mark the correct response.

Tips for exam day:

8. Do not spend more than a minute on any question if you find that you are not close to the solution. Go to the next question.
