According to recent reports, around 50 students of Lucknow University have been tested positive against the COVID-19 infection in the recent past. Due to this the university had to be closed with immediate effect. The university authorities have also canceled the examinations which were to be held between 15th to 31st January 2022. Revised dates for the canceled exams will be released soon on the official website of Lucknow University. The official statement said, “Students of Lucknow University and Associated Colleges are hereby informed that in view of the increasing number of COVID cases in the University, all examinations have been rescheduled from January 15 to January 31. New dates have been announced.” Announcement will be made soon on lkouniv.ac.in.”
The university has also asked its students to vacate the hostel amid the fear of rising COVID-19 cases. The decision has been taken to eliminate the cluster outbreak and prevent any further cases. Meanwhile, tweets of Lucknow University students are going on on social media. The students are demanding online semester exam. The National Students Union of India (NSUI), All India Students Association (AISA) and Samajwadi Chhatra Sabha demanded this on Wednesday.
