National Silver Scotch Award for Cachar District

Cachar Deputy Commissioner, Kirti Jalli Has received National Silver Scotch Award for a few days ago ‘Pushti Nirbhor’ (nutritional dependent), A Convergence Project on Transformation and Development for setting up Nutri-Gardens in homes Dinathpur Garden Village. The village is near the Indo-Bangladesh border. Katigora circle of Cachar district.

Under Project:

  • 30,000 saplings of vegetables, fruits and herbal plants were distributed among 140 beneficiaries.
  • Each family of the village was paid 75 man-days to implement the project.
  • The main objective was to train the villagers to become self-reliant during the pandemic, develop enough for their nutritional needs and sell the surplus in the markets.
