Over 2.5 lakh applications registered for Maharashtra State Service Exam: MPSC

Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) on Sunday said that a total of 2,51,589 applications have been registered for the upcoming Maharashtra State Service Preliminary Examination. The exam will be held on 2nd January 2022.

The exam will be conducted in phases – preliminary exam, main written test and interview – to fill up a total of 290 posts in various departments and organizations in the state such as Deputy District Magistrate Group A, Deputy Superintendent of Police or Assistant Commissioner of Police – Group A, Assistant State Tax Commissioner, Block Development Officer or equivalent post, Assistant Director, Maharashtra Finance and Accounts Service, Industries Deputy Director Technical and many other posts.

The exam will be conducted at 37 centers across the state.

At least 15,000 posts are vacant in various state government departments since 2018. From last many months candidates are demanding to conduct this exam and fill the vacant posts. Students are preparing for MPSC exam from last two years.
