Physical Research Laboratory (PRL) invites applications for JRF, details here

The Physical Research Laboratory (PRL) has applications for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) to pursue research in the science domains of solar physics, space and atmospheric science, and planetary science. The application process is on and the last date to submit the application form is April 20. Interested and eligible candidates may apply online through official website of PRL www.prl.res.in.

Interviews at PRL, Ahmedabad will be held from 27 to 29 April.

“JRFs in PRL will be encouraged to register for Ph.D. Degree in any Institute/University with which PRL has MoU. The Research Fellow Registration of PRL shall follow the norms of the Institute/University as agreed in the MoU”, reads the official website.

JRF will start functioning in PRL in July 2022. (Subject to COVID-19 local conditions).

PRL Age Limit: Candidates maximum age limit should be 28 years as on 1st July 2022.

PRL Fellowship: Junior Research Fellow (JRF) is paid 31,000 per month, while Senior Research Fellow (SRF) is paid 35,000 per month (governed by Department of Space guidelines).

After two years, the JRF will be evaluated, and based on the recommendations of the Review Committee and the approval of the Director, PRL, the JRF may be awarded the rank of SRF with an advanced fellowship. The performance of the Research Fellow will be assessed on an annual basis for renewal of fellowship.
