Rajasthan: Swearing-in ceremony of new ministers

According to sources, the swearing-in ceremony of the new ministers in the Rajasthan government will be held at the Governor’s residence at 4 pm on Sunday.

This comes after three Rajasthan cabinet ministers – Govind Singh Dotasra, Raghu Sharma and Harish Choudhary wrote to Congress interim president Sonia Gandhi expressing their desire to step down from their posts.

Rajasthan Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) President Dotasara, while talking to ANI on Saturday, told that he has resigned from his ministerial post citing the ‘one post one person’ discipline of the Congress.

“Keeping in mind the ‘one post one person’ discipline of the Congress party, we have tendered our resignation to party president Sonia Gandhi. I will work as a party worker to see that the people in Rajasthan get the support of the state government. Schemes are getting the benefits,” he said.

There has been a demand for expansion of the Gehlot cabinet for the last one year, especially after the differences between Gehlot and party leader Sachin Pilot came to the fore.
