UP Free Laptop Smartphone Scheme 2021: Headache for college students

UP Free Laptop Smartphone Scheme 2021: Headache for college students

The Yogi government of Uttar Pradesh has announced that tablets/smartphones will be distributed to the students studying in all the universities and colleges of the state. The work is long, so on the basis of priority, the students of the last semester will be included in it first. This is good news for the students but collecting their data has become a headache for the colleges of Lucknow.

According to the information received, Lucknow University has sent a letter to all the affiliated colleges of Lucknow and other districts (Hardoi, Lakhimpur, Sitapur and Rae Bareli) and has asked for the data of all the students registered in this session till November 15. On the other hand, a letter has also been sent from the Director of Higher Education to all the colleges.

Now the problem is that colleges have to prepare and send complete data of their lakhs of students to both the places and the time for this is only three days.

Sent letters to more than 500 colleges
Lucknow University has sent a letter to the principals and managers of more than 500 affiliated colleges, asking them to provide the data of all the students studying in the respective college in the prescribed format for the session 2021-22. The university has also released the StuDataTemplate google link. It has been clarified in the letter on behalf of Registrar Dr. Vinod Kumar Singh that the data of all the students of the session 2021-22 is to be made available. It has been clarified that the data of third semester PG and third and fifth semester students of graduation is also to be sent separately.

Still many students have not deposited the fees. Whereas many opportunities have been given to them to deposit the fees without late fee. Keeping in view the interests of the students, the last chance is being given to deposit the fees. Students can deposit fees on the UDRC portal till 15th November without late fee. Registrar Dr. Vinod Kumar Singh said that tablets and smartphones are to be distributed. But the students who are not depositing the fees will not be considered as the students of this session of LU and in such case they will not get the benefit of this scheme. Therefore, it is imperative to pay the fees on time.
