About Exam Pattern :-

The exam pattern will be as follows:-

  • The exam will be of written type.
  • There will be two parts for the written test.
  • The written test will be bilingual i.e. English and Hindi.
  • Part – 1 Computer Knowledge will be of 50 marks with 50 questions (only qualifying nature with 20 marks).
  • part 2 The written examination will be as follows-

The exam syllabus is as follows:

Part – 1

computer knowledge : Questions will be asked in this exam from O level of NIELIT. All questions will be related to computer knowledge.

part 2

general Studies: History, Geography and Socio-Economic Development of Uttar Pradesh and India. Knowledge of contemporary events of national and international importance and such things of everyday observation and experience in their scientific aspects as can be expected of an educated person who has not made a special study of any scientific subject. The paper will also include questions on Modern History of India, Indian Culture, Indian Polity, Indian Economy, Geography of India

Logical knowledge: Analogy, classification, as well as alphabet series, number series/puzzle, mixed series, coding as well as decoding, blood relation, direction and distance, as well, problem-based comparison, word formation, logical sequence of words, schedule time/ Date/Day/Year, Clock and Calendar, Also, Venn Diagram, Syllogism, Mathematical Operations, Arithmetic Reasoning as well as Matrix Based Reasoning, Cubes and Dice, Counting and Figures, Also, Shape Formation and Analysis, Paper Cutting and Folding, visual reasoning, mirror and water image, addition, non-verbal series, etc.

general Hindi: Common errors of spelling and word forms of words, feminine forms of words, plural, change of a sentence to another gender, idioms and their meanings, pure forms of imprecise sentences, antonyms, synonyms and synonyms, one word for many words, Meaning of proverbs and proverbs, dissection, making expressive nouns from verbs, composition and author etc.

UPPCL ARO Typing & Shorthand Test

shorthand testing :

In this test there will be a dictation in Hindi for which candidates will get 05 minutes. Candidates will get 30 minutes to write this dictation on computer. So this exam will be of 30 minutes.

typing testing ,

This exam will be conducted in both Hindi and English languages. Hindi Typing Test will be taken in Kriti Dev 010 or 016 font. For this test candidates will have to appear for 05 minutes test on computer to calculate typing speed.

note : Candidates should type 80 words/minute. At the speed of 40-40 w.p.m. in Hindi and English for selection.
