IT major Wipro Ltd on Wednesday reported a consolidated net profit of around Rs 2,969 crore for the quarter ended December 2021. It was Rs 2,968 crore in the year-ago period.

Consolidated revenue from operations grew 30% to Rs 20,313 crore as against Rs 15,670 crore in the year-ago period.

On Wednesday, the company’s stock had closed 0.45% lower at Rs 691 on the NSE.

The company also declared an interim dividend of Re 1 per share. The IT Services segment added 67 new customers in the December quarter and stood at 231,671 employees at the end of December.

Thierry Delaporte, CEO and Managing Director, said, “Wipro has delivered strong performance for the fifth consecutive quarter on both revenue and margins. Order bookings have also been strong, and we’ve added seven new customers in the last 12 months to the more than $100 million revenue league. Our strategy and superior execution are serving us well, and we are confident of building on this momentum. We are also excited to complete the acquisitions of Edgil and LeanSwift Solutions this quarter, both of which will significantly enhance our capabilities.
